Don't sign it's a financed loan! Deceptive company

The irony of this letter is astonishing! I was actually looking up the web address for Bally's to dispute a charge on my credit report when Poof!!! I found this site at the top of the list.

I signed up at Bally's when I moved away from home to the city in Pittsburgh. It looked great, tons of different machines, 20 treadmills and young faces. My friend and I were stoked, so we sat down to sign up and we were told to it was $45 down and $30 a month thereafter. We signed on the dotted line and rushed to workout.

Six months later we moved, and the nearest Bally's was 35 mins away. Like most places that cancel your membership if you ask, they did. Or so they said. READ ON...

Now 4 years later I have a terrible mark on my credit. A pay-off to Bally Total Fitness in the amount of $1200. I was never sent a letter or anything. I recently called Bally's and they told me that the signature I gave them to "start" my membership was actually my authorization on a "FINANCED LOAN". The trainer must have conveniently forgot to add in that miniscual peice of information. Or maybe it was the end of the month and she had to meet her quota.

Whatever the case, it is illegal to misrepresent, or in my case not even mention, an obligation of a document.

*IF ANYONE HAS A HORROR STORY LIKE THIS PLEASE POST IT*
Then maybe we can stop these corporate a#$holes from making money off of services never rendered!!!
