I won maine moose lottery for 2005 season, Striaght arrow outfitters contacted me soon after with a nice brochure and two hour dvd of his service and hunts.
I was inpressed with presentation and verbal communication.in short I was promised the world and a top notch hunt and camp. I paid $2400.00 for this 5 star hunt, cushy as described.
When arrived for hunt Corey Kinney had not even prepared camp and supplies and we wasted at least 4 hours getting ready, I must also say Corey Kinney appeared to be under some kind of chemical influence.
We drove to hunt camp almost 3 hrs. Away at very unsafe speeds.
We arrived in dark, camp was not even ready or livable, tents collapsed, holes in tents mattresses soaking wet. Mess tent had at least 6 inches of mud inside
Thank God a passer by saw our situation and offered us his camp to stay at. His comment was if you stay here tonight some one may die of exposure.
Promised top notch guides left a lot to be desired. A canadian film crew filmed my hunt with out my permission and broadcast it on canadian T.V. My canadian caller was pregnant and suffering morning sickness and really useless
In short major complaint is most services promised were never given. When I decided to make verbal complaint, Corey Kinney snuck out of camp so he wouldn't have to face me.
I also found head guide David Kelso to be a two faced lair, He played both sides and is a disgrace to all Maine Guides. I made complaints to maine wildlife and maine guide assoc., Maine attorney Generals office and have found all to be incompatent.
If Striaght arrow outfitters is allowed to continue in business he will probably get some one killed or hurt
