Complaint:
I and my brother signed up for 30 days trial memberships of rapid results program at ballys, but, I barley used their facility for three weeks and I wasn't interested to go for the rest of the month, because it's not a very clean facility. Then, I started to receive Bills from them, with a balance of $1632 and now it reached $2050. I never wanted to sign up for a full membership price, just for one month. I contacted the sales person who signed me up and he said he can't do anything, and he started to avoid me. Another club employee told me to contact the comapany directly in Baltimore, which I did and sent an explanation letter with my membership card requesting a membership cancellation to the following address:
In Care Of; Bally Total Fitness Services, 300 E Joppa Rd, PO Box 42055, Baltimore, MD 21284. Via Certified mail, with confirmation number and Return receipt on 5/19/03. Then I received a letter from them requesting more information which I've sent in the certified mail, and the bills kept on coming. Then the collectors (Asset Acceptance LLC) started to call me on the home number and on my Cell number. They screwed my credit report now, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they replied by requesting a payment o $218.11 to complete my financial obligations.!! Never Sign a contract with them before you read it.
