Ab Rocket advertises monthly payment plans, and when they process one they put on hold the entire amount of your purchase... Meaning the product might be worth $200, but you want the monthly payment plan, and that purchase amount is no longer available to you for the entire period of the payments, which is over 5 months... And when you try to get it back after cancelling, you have to go through a waiting period of 72 hours... Since when is any company allowed to take your money, or put a reserve as they call it, on your credit card so that it is not accessible to you for this whole period... I find this totally illegal and against all proper business practices for any company to do this...
You agreed to monthly payments because this is what you can afford, not the whole amount at once... If you have preauthorized debits coming through and this money is not there, you will be charged NSF fees... And pay this outrageous fee... And not have this money to access for this whole time... I find this unacceptable and totally illegal and something should be done about this...
They are unauthorized to do this and they are totally misleading the consumer because they do not inform you as to this practice. It's a surprise!
