Yorkie Love Affair sold us a puppy with a congenital defect. After our puppy died, they would not return our numerous calls or emails. I want Yorkie Love Affair -Breeder Maria Calverley to refund my money ($1500.00) that we paid for our puppy. I do NOT want another puppy from them as we feel like they are unscrupulous, breeders that obviously are not breeding quality yorkie dogs and puppies. We researched the breeder our puppy came from and found that they do not allow visitors to the property, which is a tell-tell sign of a puppy mill. Our vets even told us that he came from a puppy mill.
On April 23 our puppy had to be put to sleep after almost 2 weeks of constant vet care (day and night). He suffered from a congenital defect called Megaesophagus. Maria Calverley http://www.yorkieloveaffair.com/Breeders claimed to be honest breeders caring for the welfare of their dogs but when we told them the puppy died and had all of his vet records faxed over to prove the defect, they stopped taking our calls and would not answer our emails. Every day we call and are given the run around. It is the same story every time.
We are told that the breeder is on another call, is at lunch, or left for the day and she will call us back ASAP. For 2 1/2 weeks, we have gotten not ONE single call back. We paid YORKIE LOVE AFFAIR a lot of money to have the pet of our dreams and we are receiving unacceptable treatment from them once he died. Before submitting this complaint tonight, we were told once again that the breeder would all us right back. We warned that we may have to pursue other avenues if they did not call. The call never came. Our puppy has been dead for 6 weeks now. All we want is a full refund from them and a phone call saying that the check is in the mail. BUYER BEWARE! They are not good breeders!
