This company has new hires pay to come to work. First they want $500.00 for fittings and tools-which they say will be reimbursed-they will not reimburse this. Second you will have to pay for you're own dot physical. Third -they wiil require you to get a twic card at you're expense -$150.00. And last but not least oakley reqires you to get a passport to travel into canada -another $150.00 that you will have to pay for. After going to work at oakley they will send you to different customers who will not take you're load-leaving you sitting at this same place for 1-2 days everyweek without pay. They say that you will get layover pay and detention, but will never pay it. Saying it will be on the next weeks pay over and over until you finally quit asking. They do not pay holidays and oakley will base you're vacation pay below the normal you would get for a week. Oakley trucks will breakdown frequently, because their maintanenance dept. Will not do what they say and here again you will not be paid when getting repairs. They will not give you a hotel room while you are getting repars-instead they will tell you to wait on another driver pick you up to get another truck-you will have to drive that truck without any of you're belongings-because there's no room in the truck picking you up. When you get repairs in lake wales-they will want you to sleep on sofa that is always infested with bedbugs which is in the driver's lounge. They will not pay pump-off pay like they say. Speaking from experience i would highly suggest you not consider oakley for employ-if you do you'll regret it later. Don't wish for anyone to have to be treated the way i was. I was not fired-i voluntarily quit-and until then i was considered a model employee. That's when oakley wiil give you the run @ and tell you they are trying to get you to lake wales to turn in you're truck, and keep you running for ever until you finally go on you're own without their permission.
