After receiving a bogus email from Raquel blaming another local photographer for not getting me my photos in time ive decided to file this report...
I was invited to a test shoot of which i paid over $200 for and was told to go to some MUAs house... It didnt look or feel professional at all and i was very skeptical
After a month or so of not receiving my photos i contacted the photographer and he told me that since the agency was in charge of the shoot that i had to deal with them which i know is typical when doing work through an agency. Its not the first time ive ever heard that...
Then i received an email from Raquel saying that the photographer was the reason why she was unable to send me the photos in time but i heard from another model who was also at a previous test shoot that Raquel does this all the time... Takes money and takes forever to provide the photos to the models regardless of who is the photographer...
Funny thing is... I had checked the Time Talent website many times before receiving that email and my photo from that shoot had already been posted on their website which tells me that she has had the photos for a while now. We're not dumb, Raquel.
Funny thing also is that i signed no contract to allow them to do so... I also found out later from other models of theirs that she is using many models photos without having any proper contracts signed beforehand and yet she is talking about other photographers using models pictures without model releases... What about her???
Apparently a number of her models are also waiting to be paid for events they performed at months ago. Im glad i never ended up signing any contracts or working for her... I lost more than $200 but oh well, i guess i learned my lesson. I really think someone should shut this agency down. Houstons fashion scene is already a joke and she is only making it worse
