Product was ordered approximately two weeks ago. Expected arrival of product was October 27th. On October 26th at 8:59 pm I received an email from Chris Rojas CEO/Founder of Vampire Disco informing me I will not be receiving my ordered product due to no stock and lost shipments. However, the product should have been shipped over a week ago (when their site claimed it was in stock)! They never shipped the product and failed to inform me of any issues until it was too late. I had used a Groupon to purchase the item and paid for shipping and taxes with a debit/credit card.
They claim my funds will be refunded but for the Groupon I am now forced to use it on their products. This company has abused the system. They claim they will still honor the Groupon for the amount I paid for it, however, lets look at the big picture here. That will force me to spend more money seeing as the value of the Groupon is now only $40 (what I paid) rather than the $80 (the deal offered). I have been scammed. I am now not getting the product I purchased and I have to spend more there?! How is that even acceptable business practices?
