What do you feel if you only received 1 item although you bought 2 online? What if the answer from seller is that there is a price error and you were only charged with the price of 1 item so they decided to give you only 1. And they do not want to give you the other 1 item or refund your money. Do you still want to buy more than 1 item that is on sale? Be careful, you may end up with getting only one without any notice from this seller. Following is the true story.

I ordered 2 Standard Unit Blocks (Item# FC655-9040FB) from JC Penney online on Nov. 6 (Order# 3105-8280-0641. It was on sale at $12.99 each, whose original price is $24.99.
JC accepted my order on Nov. 6 and delivered my order on Nov 09 (UPS tracking# 1Z07306F0333398456). But I found only 1 Standard Unit Block was delivered. Then I called JC Penney.initially, they said that 2 should have been delivered. And later they said that the price was an error and I was charged the price of 1 item instead of 2. So, they just shipped one item.

My complaint is that they didn’t give me any notice about the price error when they delivered my order. They could have rejected my order without delivering it if the price was an error. I am fine with that. But they just changed the order without giving me any notice. Do you want to be treated like this?

Here is email response from JC PENNY:

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your recent JCPenney purchase. Our supplier has informed us that they are only sending one set out per customer. There was a oricing error online and the original price is $59.99. You are only being billed for 1 set. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thank you for shopping JCPenney. We look forward to serving you again.

Here is another email from JCP after I ask for the refund of 1 item that I didn’t receive:

We do apologize for the inconvience. As we stated you will only be charged for the one set you reieved at the special price. There was a mistake in the pricing and you did get one set at that low price. However if you would like another set we would have to reorder it and charge the correct price of $59.99.
