I am so sorry this happened to you but I'm not surprised.
I used to work at Bell & Pollock. Unless you were related to one of them, you were treated horribly. They would overload us with work and then literally scream at us if we didn't get it done fast enough. One employee was in tears most of the time but she was too timid to quit and kept taking their abuse. It got so bad that employment agencies stopped sending candidates to fill positions.
If you want to know how a lawyer treats clients, check employee turnover. That speaks a lot louder than any advertisment.
