In Store Advantage solutions is a pyramid business model Think AMWAY. It is a remodeled business platform where Direct TV pays the OM or manager a profit for each customer sale. Lets say $200.00 the manager splits that with the employee keeping $100.00 for themselves while the other money goes toward the salesperson. Sounds good in theory. Besides the fact that this is a commission draw sales environment promising a weekly draw or salary, however if you dont sell at least 4 direct tv sign up your draw could actually be in the negative where you owe. Actually, I am quite sure they would let you go before that happened. The enthusiasm comes from the potential of exponentially growing numbers. A person is eagerly encouraged to want to go through a 6 month training program to learn this model so that you eventually open up your own branch. You are tied to the original person who brought you in however, as every sale you and your team make becomes a residual profit from the last branch and so on and so on. This model is not taught in business school as a viable business model. I applied, was brought in for an interview, told to go on a second interview in a working environment of Best buy. I quickly figured out what business model this person, who seemed very excited about the possibility of getting very rich in a short amount of time, and whom kept reiterating how he really wanted that one person with no sales history so he could train him, was doing. Oh I am quite sure they do want that candidate. Someone who is not the wiser. I asked all the critical questions.in any other interview I nailed it, in this interview, I was told they would call me. It has been two days and no word. I know exactly why they dont want me and I am quite happy knowing I dogged that pyramid bullet. Job seekers beware.
