I had purchased a diamond pendant for my wife through Daras Diamonds in May. The website claimed the diamond to be 1Ct. VVS1 and D color appraised by a local gemological institute. They sell the claimed diamond for ridiculously low prices (which should have been my first guess of it being fake) as compared to industry standards, to be precise for $4350 as compared to around $14K - $15K industry standards. I bought this diamond and after having it for three months I thought of verifying the authenticity of the diamond by testing it from an international gemological institute. No surprises what the result was, it turned out the diamond was VVS2 and 0.83Ct. So i contacted them to check with if it was a mistake on their side and after a month and a half of "investigation" (done by the company) I was told by their manager that they delivered what they had promised and were not responsible for it anymore. I had to write this to prevent innocent people from being duped by this company and create awareness.
