El Bridges, the breeder from Southern Golden Sunset kennels, sold me 3 Golden Retriever puppies for the explicit purpose of breeding. None of the dogs turned out to be of breeding quality. The oldest puppy, a female, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 1 year of age. X-rays were sent to the breeder. She agreed to allow us to keep that female, but said she would give us another female puppy.
After the next litter had supposedly been born we called to see when we would be getting our puppy. El said that the breeding didn't take, yet never bothered to call and tell us this. We have never been able to get a hold of her since. Her phone has been disconnected. Her website is down. Her email address is no good. She is a liar and an irresponsible breeder. The male turned out to not only be out of standard for the breed, but also has an undiagnosed esophageal motility problem, meaning he has a very difficult time eating. The other female is way out of breed standard. All of these dogs were spayed/neutered by me, and none were ever bred.
