Good Afternoon, I am embarassed to say that I too was taken in by this company. I think all parents who believe in their children are easy prey. We were given a card by one of their representatives who I am sure now was getting extra money to give them out, I dont think she actually knew the full extent of this company's scheme. I went to the location located in Dallas, Tx with about 20 other parents and aspiring models. My child was given a script to memorize and a digital picture was taken of her, soon after "I'm so sexy" was playing on the stereo.
Each person was asked to walk down the aisle and model to show how good they were and soon we were told some would make it and some would not. I believe they already had an idea of who would be willing to pay and who would'nt. My child was called back and told they would love to work with her and someone would be contacting me tomorrow. I do not recall signing any paperwork, but I was told that they were not a modeling agency the just provided a website for models who would like their faces to be seen by agencies which subscribed to their database. That still sounded like a pretty good deal to me.
I was told of major agencies who go through the site daily, and being a supportive parent I knew my child had the look to be chosen. I did voluntarily give these people 1,000 dollars which I truly regret now. But basically I wish I would have done my research and not fell victim to their scam. It was not until later that I read it was going on across the nation. This company has been in existence for years running the same scam but with differnt names.
Please be aware that a true agency will never ask you up front to pay anything. If they truly believe in your child they will wait and take their percentage from the first check. I truly hate to believe that grown people are out there preying on little kids hopes and dreams like this. Granted the money comes from our pockets but the desire comes from our children and that is the worse part of it all.
