LVNV Funding LLC received a collection bill for an account I never had, tried to call several times only to hear a voicemail

I received a letter telling me I owe almost 2,000 to a company that I never heard of or had, they were willing to accept a payment of 394.00 to pay account off. I made several attempts to contact them only to get a voicemail or my call just being cut off... I beleive this is some kind of scam to get money, or my personal information. I never had any dealings with this company or this so called creditor LVNV FUNDING LLC. I am very responsible when it comes to paying any debts I have and am worried that this is going to negatively hurt my credit
