I can't emphasize enough the aggravation this company has caused me over the past two years beginning with bills coming each month, sometimes two a month, claiming I had asked for advertising with their company. Then came the weekly phone calls at all hours of the day and evening stating I was past due on my account, an account which I never asked for, agreed to, or signed anything on. I have logged well over 50 hours on the phone with these people. Each time you will speak to a different person who will tell you a different story but will never agree that you did not ask for the contract. They told me that I had asked for a contract with them and since I didn't cancel in the time allowed, the contract was renewed. I asked to see the contract numerous times but was never given same. The bills kept coming. I reported them to the BBB and this is ongoing and they have yet to provide a contract. The BBB closed the account because The Berry Company said they would send me a statement indicating I had a zero balance with them for advertising but have not received it. I have opened the account back up twice. The BBB actually has this business down with A rating although it has had 349 complaints against them in the last three years with only 115 closed in the last 12 months as well as a warning that the company is going through bankruptcy. The BBB states they have an A because they feel The Berry Company has made good faith efforts to resolve consumer complaints. Apparently they haven't looked at the internet and I can't see how they are making good faith efforts when they don't do what they say they are going to do and the issue is still not solved after two years. BEWARE and stay away from this company. If you receive anything at all from them, don't throw it away because it may just be the beginning of hell! You will need to take action immediately by writing them and contacting the BBB. This company has several different addresses and telephone numbers apparently. I was told the first time I called the reason my fictitious contract was being renewed was because I didn't send a letter to the Dayton office. I had mailed it to the Hudson office which was the only address on the bill I received you. Nice little deceptive way to keep those fictitious contracts renewed wouldn't you say. I could go on and on. I have never in my 58 years of living dealt with a company with such deceptive billing practices. I have written to the State Attorney General's Office in Ohio and hope that all of you who are having the same trouble do the same. They should be investigated for their fraudulent practices. Again, BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE! By the way, just last week I began received a fictitious contract with my husband's name on it but advertising my company. So around we go again. I think all of us should be compensated monetarily for all the aggravation and time we have spent in trying to resolve the billing practices with this horrible company.
