Fradulent Billing Practices

I made the mistake of signing up for Dish network for my R.V. We selcted the very basic package which billed at $22.00. Today I get my bill and it's gone for 22.00 to $71.79. Below is the web based conversation I had with there reps. It pretty much speaks for it's self. This is just a pathic ripp of of a company. Save yourself the hastle. They totally are not worth it. Oh, and before someone responds saying it's part of the signup package. It's not we Specificly took them off because we didn't want to deal with this exact situation.

Mark R (ID: P6P): There is a charge of $44.00 for the premiums.

Christina A: Well I didn't order the, I don't want them and I"M NOT PAYING FOR TIME

Christina A: I don't know what you guys are tyring to pull but this makes me really angry

Christina A: Understanding really doesn't help. How damn dare you guys do this?

Christina A: If I close this account is there a penality?

Christina A: This is crooked as hell. I NEVER signed up for premium channels

Christina A: I have to tell you this is the shadyist thing I've ever had a company pull. I did not sign up for premium channels for a dish that not only in use only to have it provide and billed.

Christina A: Crediting it back doesn't fix that shady dealing that you guys are pulling

Christina: and now if I now longer want to do business with you I get charges? There is somthing really fundamently wrong withthis

Christina: How dare you just add something to my account that I did not order

Christina: I do not want. Now I do now want to do business with you

Christina: And I'm not paying a cancelation fee'

Christina: This is point blank crooked as hell[

Allen ID: H56): The systen will automatically remove the premiums once the offer ends.

Allen (ID: H56): There is no cancellation fee.

Christina: No I'm talking I want out of this contact with Dish. You guys a freaking shady as hell

Christina: there is no way in hell I would have paid for a service that I didn't order. Secondly I didn't order premium channels, you just billed thme to me. How in the hell is that even ethical?

Allen (ID: H56): We did not charge you anything for premiums yet.

Christina: lol, man if this is customer service I would had to see if you were trying to piss me off.

Christina: after dealing with you guys in text I"m not about to sign up to call and deal with you

Christina: Well, here is the deal. I've told you that I want this account closed and that I'm not paying you a canclation fee or another billing. I will keep record of this conversation and what you do from this point is really on you. Our business relationship ends today. I should not have to call and deal with shady practices. And no I do not want encore or any other channel. This a dish that sit is a box that I use in my RV. I never had any issues like this is Direct TV. I know they will be glad to have my business bad

Christina: Robert did all give you the information on why this was transfered to you?

Robert (ID: GCN): I understand your frustration Christina. As part of your new customer plan you've received HBO, Cinemax, Starz and, Showtime at no cost for the first 3 months of service. We do bill a month in advance, your 08/08 bill
is for the 4th month of service. Which is why you see the premiums there. If you choose to remove them the bill will be prorated accordingly for you. Did you want to remove those premiums today or wait until 08/22 which is the day you
have them at no cost to.

Christina: man, I cannot believe I've got to do this for the third time

Christina: I didn't over premium channels. Even at the time I booked this order. I'm looking at the order confirmation. You just just billed it to me

Christina: And yeah that better be gone and now I don't want to do business with you. This is point bank shady business practicesw

Robert (ID: GCN): The premiums and their discounts have been showing on the bills.

Christina: lol, this is freaking nuts

Robert (ID: GCN): To view or print your current or previous bills, log on to our account at mydish.com and click on the "My Billing" link on the left hand side. Once on the "My Billing" page, click "View" under the Summary section. For previous statements select the billing date you wish to view and it will open in a new window or tab.

Christina: You guys must have some script that keeps you from totally missing the point. How damn dare you just bill me for something that I didn't order?

Christina: lol, dude I don't need you to explain to me how to use a web page. That wasn't even a question

Christina: Clearly I know how to access my billing. I.E. I'm calling you regarding a billing issue

Christina: I was with Direct TV for years and never had anything like this happen.

Robert (ID: GCN): I have offered to resolve the billing issue and remove those premiums from your account Christina. The billing will update within 24 ~ 48 hours.

Christina: This fraud not matter how you try to spin it

Christina: Okay as I told the last rep. I am going to copy this conversaton. I will take a copy of my signing agreement and the billing to the Florida att. General. This is just stinky crooked

Christina: What will you guys bill me for next that I didn't order

Robert (ID: GCN): We have resolve the issue, I do understand were you're coming from. The premium movie packages were a part of your new customer offer. I apologize for the inconvenience that you noticed them after they were on the bill.

Robert (ID: GCN): The account is still active, I was hoping that now we resolved the billing issue you would be able to continue the services.

Christina: OMFG

Christina: you guys a just amazingly frustrating.

Robert (ID: GCN): Would you prefer the account to stay active of do you want to fully disconnect the account still?

Christina: I want it closed and the cancelation fee removed. I've been very clear in stating that over andover

Robert (ID: GCN): Based on the terms of the promotion agreement you signed, there will be a prorated early termination fee of $385 for the remaining 22 months you have on your commitment. The early termination fee will be billed
and then charged to the credit card you used to qualify for the promotion.

Christina: well, there is no way in hell I'm going to pay a company $385. For cancellation due to your fradulent billing. That just isn't going to happen

Christina: I do know handle this. I've given you every opportunity to make this right. I've told you what my next steps are. I also need the address to your corporate headquarters

Robert (ID: GCN): I have offered to fix your billing Christina.

Robert (ID: GCN): What else are you wanting DISH to do in regards to the billing issue?

Christina: The we are at an impass just taking it off my billing dien't correct the point blank fraudent billing practice. I want the address to your corporate headquearter

Robert (ID: GCN): Here is what will happen now that your service is going to be cancelled. Boxes will be shipped to you as a courtesy by UPS so you can return the equipment. You will need to return the receivers, smart cards, remotes and
LNBF (It is the eye piece on the arm of the dish. It is only attached by a couple of screws, and can be removed with a screwdriver).

Christina: How do you sleep at night working for a company this dirty

Robert (ID: GCN): There will be instructions in the boxes about what needs to be returned. The boxes will be there in 7 to 10 business days after the disconnect date. There is a $17 shipping charge if you chose to use the return
shipping label we provided to return your equipment. We do this to make the process as convenient as possible for you. Keep in mind that you generally save money by using our packaging, as its only $17 per shipping label which is as
low as half the cost of other couriers. With this promotion you have 30 days from the disconnect date to return the equipment. If we do not receive the equipment within the 30 day period, you will be charged for the full price of
the equipment, which ranges between $100.00 and $400.00. The charge for the equipment will be placed on your account and/or charged to the debit or credit card we have on file for your account. Could you please confirm your shipping address so we can make sure the boxes reach you?

Christina: and the cancllation fee?

Robert (ID: GCN): The early termination fee will apply because the account is being disconnect prior to the commitment being fulfilled.

Christina: Leave the account open and I will deal with you corporate office. There is deffinatly more than one way to deal with this. Oh, and I posted this conversation on usacomplaints.com so some other unsuspecting client doesn't have to deal with this

and programming will be prorated accordingly.
