On September 10 I received in the mail a letter from El Gordo Loteria Primitiva regarding an Award Notification. The letter stated that they were informing of the release of the El Gordo Lottery Primmitiva held on the 16th of August and due to a mix up of numbers, address and the holidays, the results were released on the 2nd of Septmber 2004. The letter that my name was attached to ticket number w/serial number which drew the winning numbers which won the lottery in the 3rd catetory and that I had been approved for a lump sum payout of 615,810.00 euros, in cash credited to file with (ref. #); further stating that this prize was from a total cash prize of 6,773, 547.00, shared among 11 international winners from this category.
In addition, my fund was being deposited with Santa Lucia Seguros S.L. Madrid and insured in my name. They asked that this be kept from public notice because of a mix up of some numbers and names, until my claim was processed and the money remitted to my account, because this is part of their security protocol to avoid double claiming or unwarranted use of the program from participants, due to past experiences.
The letter state that all participants were selected throgh a computer ballot system drawn from 6 million names from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North and South America, Middle East and Africa as part of their international promotional program.
Their instructions were to contact a claiming agent: Don Alex Fernando, Foreign Operaton Manager (Santa Lucia Segros S.L. Madrid) on Tel: 34-656 497 181, Fax: 34-656 497 827/ 34653 071 347 for the processing and remittance of my winning prize money to a designation of my choice.
In addition, all prize money had to be claimed by the 30th of September and that any claim unclaimed would be returned to the Ministerio De Economia Y Hacienda As unclaimed.
The added punch: that 10% of my lotter winning belongs to my agent, and that it's remitted after I have received my winings because the money is insured in my name already.
Their end-note of instructions in order to avoid unnecessary delays and complications, was to remember to quote my reference and batch numbers in every correspondence with them or agent. And to inform them of any change of address and that an original copy of my prize winning certificate will be sent to me after I have claimed my winning.
They included a payment processing form that they asked to be filled and sent via fax.

Section 3 wanted Bank Information. Bank name, acct number, swift code, address.
Section 4 wanted next of kin info: name, occupation, tel & fax, physical address.
Final section was the declaration, where I'd state that never received any payment from Santa Lucia Seguros S.L. Nor had my family members filed any claims on my behalf, thereby authorizing Santa Lucia Seguros s.L. To act on my behalf in the processing and transferring of funds to the designated bank information as stated in the processing form. Signature & Date area.
