In memory of my two girls Lulu and Cinnamon I want to let potential buyers know about a breeder named Maria Hotopp, I was assured my chinese shar pei were healthy and there was no FSF/AMYLOIDOSIS in her lines. Well my Lulu started having shar pei fever soon after she arrived, after many vet visits, diagnostic tests, etc she was diagnosed with Amyloidosis and died at age 3!! Cinnamon died at age 4 from amyloidosis, to say I was/am devastated is a huge understatement. Maria accused Penn vet hospital of making the wrong diagnosis, to this day she will blatantly lie to anyone about FSF/amyloid in her lines, I know this for a fact, and have also been in contact with several people who bought puppies from maria and they too have the same health issues... Despite the fact my Lulu's sire was the top mini male in the country, she died from a horrible disease, all those ribbons and awards mean nothing, I often wonder how many other puppies did he sire that died at such a young age. Maria will never admit the truth, but i will, I have all the medical records for Lulu and Cinnamon, and will gladly send copies to anyone interested. If I can save just one heart from being broken then please take my advice and RUN FAR AWAY FROM MARIA HOTOPP
