I purchased a bulldog from Heavy Hitter bulldogs two years ago, I paid 2400 for what was said to be a healthy dog. Within days he started having problems with his skin I spent alot of money ruling out other things mites etc ended up having dual allergies food and inhalant. It has been very difficult at times to care for him cause of the extreme reactions he gets from allergies. All in all his dogs Al sells are not as healthy as claimed and are way over priced. I feel bad for my dog that he has to go through all this pain and suffering. Also Al will say it's a hobby but it's not it's a business and they are pretty much a mill with the amount of breedings they produce. Also some of their dogs get cherry eye. I will say his joints and breathing are A but his allergies are so bad that he definitly is deemed unhealthy dog that wasn't fit for sale. I let al know the issues I was having in the beginning and wanted to give me a cheaper dog that I wasn't willing to except I paid top dollar and felt if you really want make a gesture you'll give me the pick Of my choice seeing I paid for that. I also suggested with amount of money I paid for a breeding dog that ended up being less then pet quality maybe he should pay for allergy test he declined. All and all I got a special needs dog who should have been free or maybe have a 200 dollar adoption fee for 2400 dollars... Sounds like a rip off hence I'm writing this on rip off.com.
Save urself the head aches and money buy somewhere else you will be happier and hopefully you end up wit a healthy dog that will be a joyful experience. And I don't imagine all pups come out like this from him but he did and when it came time to take care of problem I was met with a less then fair accommodation considering amount of money I paid. Spent over a thousand dollars in vet bills to date:/ on top of over priced said to be breeding quality dog and ha ended up being less then pet quality special needs dog, bottom line. I am probably giving him away at a 100% loss cause I am not in a position to get allergen test done. He's a great dog who needs help. I am more then willing to talk to anyone about this and will back my experience without hesitation. Personally Al should take him back, he bred him and he should experience the headache and stress my dog and I have gone through so he can see what he produces. See I'm sure a ton of pups he produces are healthy and he does produce a ton of pups definitely not a hobby breeder lol but it's when u produce a pup that has issues and sell a less then healthy dog as healthy it's after that and as a breeder how you handle that situation is what shows ur ethics and character.
Also I paid 2400 for him he wanted to give me a dog he was selling for 1800? Why not just pay for allergen test? Would I be compensated difference of 600 if took other dog? Nope. Also I could have picked other dog that du when was buying but didn't so why would I want it then? I feel with 2400 being paid and wanting allergen test paid for I was being more then reasonable or would have accepted a second pick from a different litter which he has plent of neither was met and was givin a option that I felt was less then fair in fact all said and done this was a flat out rip off.
