I was looking toadvertise my site using an email campaign and came across http://www.optinonlinemarketing.com. He claims he will send out 1 million emails for 99 dollars and it sounded greatso I gave him a call. He told me if I would pay by check he would bump it up to2 million emails to a targeted list and it would start in 5 days. After theemails started going out I tracked them using google analytics and found thathe was just sending spoofs to hit my site and never really sent a single email. After watching the hits my site received I never had a single person go to oneof my affiliates sites. Kind of weird considering when I ran my own campaign ona different site I own I had over a 1000 people sign up and I only sent out300,000 emails. I also noticed that the hits I received would only stay on mysite for 0.00 seconds. Once I realized I had been scammed I notified my bankwhat had happened and asked to file a dispute on the charge against my accountand they told me since I paid with a check they would not be able to help meout but would close out my account to stop further abuse. I would have tocontact my attorney and file a police report. This guy knows what he is doingand that is why he pushes for a check. I hope I can stop everyone else frommaking the same mistake I did.
