Verizon declined a credit card payment made over the internet because the wrong account # was listed - they sent a check back to me saying they could not recognize the account even though my name was listed.
After the check was returned to me, I took it to the local Verizon store to submit and they did. I said thankyou and left, only ot find out later that they cannot accept third party checks, and that the proper procedure is to cash the check and make the payment at the store in cash. Why didn't the rep at the store tell me this?
By the time I found out that the checks would not be accepted at the store, I had already submitted two!
They have disconnected my phone four times in the past 6 weeks, even though I have the credit card statement showing payment. They have also charged me $120 in reconnection fees. I went to the store to request that the fees be waived, and they told me they would take care of that, but it hasn't been done.
I HATE VERIZON! When I call customer service, they give me the run around and refuse to help me.
