I started using Account Now about 1 year ago.in the last 6 months they have turned my credit in to negative. I made payments for my utilities, phone, electric and tried to set up payments to other banks. I purchased gas and that was the wrong thing to do. First Account Now is using Meta Bank for there banking. You do not have your own checking or saving account at Meta Bank. I called Meta Bank and everything is linked back to Account Now.
So your money is being put into an account that draws Account Now interest not you. You cannot call Meta Bank and ask them questions. So at first I was pleased at Account Now until I started checking around. What really made me mad was that I could not call Meta Bank asking them about my money. And then I made some payments to my other credit card company, they would not take there routing number or account number telling me that it was not my account.
I could pay bills as long as I used it as a debit card but not having monthly payments at my utility company money. Your routing numbers are not yours and Meta Bank is not your bank. Then I went on a vacation I had $1000 in my account, EVERY time I used it at the gas station they held up to $140 plus what I charged for gas. So before I got to my vacation spot for 4 days I found out I only had about $400 on my card everything else was held till the gas charges were cleared. So 4 days turned into 2 days.
I called several times and they said after several attempts to have someone answer the phone. I should of had read the fine print, any time you get gas pay for it inside. Never at the pump. I have a capital one card and I pay at the pump and there is no hold for anything at the pump. I get $28.00 worth of gas and that is what is p[aid NO HOLD on my Capital One card. So I now have a regular bank account and have transferred what few things I had away from ACCOUNT NOW. I can actually say I was being scammed. And they hurt my credit score drastically.
