A $0.95 cent instant search was ordered. The data contained was wrong and very dated. Upon calling the company, I learned that I had a charge of $20.95 when I requested a $. 95 cent refund. The order screen and the email confirmation of the order was for $. 95 cents.
Upon reviewing the email closely, there is a grayed tiny print that says you have two days to cancel your "membership". During the ordering process the system asked you for additional add-ons and NO was checked throughout.
This is deceptive, bait and switch and if the information had of been correct, I would have been on the hook for $19.95 per month for something I never ordered or intended to order. I was offered some more memberships, and upon declaration of my intent to report the organization, the rep said she was able to process a refund.
When calling customer service to lodge a complaint, I asked for the corporate headquarters, and was told t that they are the Consumer Affairs division of the US government and share an office. (Really?) I received an email cancelling my membership, but no documentation regarding the credit of the unauthorized $20.95.
