Galore Moving And Storage
Partial Delivery Fradulent Company Illegal Business Practices

On August 5 the truck driver for Galore Moving and Storage showed up at our employee's new home in CA - She had just arrived in CA from Chicago, IL. 134 boxes and various furniture departed from Chicago, but the shipment arrived short and in complete disaster.

Two representatives of the company were present at the time the truck was to be unloaded. They were informed that they needed to sign delivery acknowledgement and pay money BEFORE Galore would unload the truck. The driver threatened to leave if delivery acknowledgement was not received in advance of delivery itself.

With no choice but to cooperate, the acknowledgement was signed. Soon after and not surprising, as items were unloaded MANY had been carelessly damaged, several boxes had been opened (and it was obvious this was done through human intervention) and most importantly 18 boxes were missing along with a child's bike.

Both of our company representatives who bore witness decided to ask the driver for the inventory sheet, so that they could notate the damage and missing items. The driver actually refused to allow them to do this!

The next day, On August 6, after contacting the company in Chicago that arranged the pickup, it was learned that Galore Moving and Storage was indeed the contracted moving company for pickup and that Galore had acknowledged all items were received by their company at the time of pickup in Chicago.

Next we received a disasterous call from "Ely" who basically tried to defend his little company with a flury of paperwork that would have to be submitted to their "customer service department". Please. After 50 calls or so, we have come to learn that there are only three people there (Ruth, Adam, and Ely) and all of them claim that they don't know who the owner of their company is! Ruth and Adam will tell you their boss is Ely and Ely will dodge you. Sure, a claim will be filed, but this is pure tactics folks.

BEWARE! And do your research on these people. I just found several recent incidents on the Internet of a similar nature or worse!
