In September, a young man by the name of James Kidder came into my business selling magazines. This man claimed to have tourette's syndrome and would be rewared for gaining points for his magazine sales. I first told him no that I wasnt interested and he kept pressuring me to purchase a subscription. His lines were well rehearsed. I gave in and ordered one in the cost of $55.00. Needless to say, it's now April and no magazines.
After numerous calls to a false phone number, I found the copied check and stamped on the back was the bank account that my check bad been deposited into. I called the bank and of course the account had been closed. It is very disturbing that someone would use and/or fake a disability to scam people out of money. Very sick.
