I ordered clothing ($345AUS) from the website "mainett Internal Company" which, on its website, has offices in Pakistan, Malaysia and Brazil. I was asked to pay for the goods through Western Union rather than paypl (which I preferred.) The money was to be sent not to the company itself but to Muhammad Alam, (address: Habib Pura Purth No3, Sialkot, pakistan - which was not the address of the office as stated in the website)
After I paid for the goods, I was informed by email that a mistake had been made and that the minimum order should have been $750US. Nowhere was a minimum order mentioned on the website nor stated by Muhammad Alam in our email correspondence before I paid for the goods. When I spoke to him on the phone about the minimum order, he said to me to order more to fulfil minimum requirements or if I didn't wish to, he would return the money to me. I instructed him to return the money. He has not done so nor replied to any of my emails. When I ring him, he initially answered and hung up as soon as he realised it was me but now, simply does not answer the phone.
I tried ringing the malaysian office but with no success as in every case, there is a recorded message and when I respond to it by leaving my number, they have never rung back. I also emailed the brazil office (a different email address) but they have not replied.
I do not think the website is a genuine one
