We contracted with Yacht Path International, through Kevin Cummings, to transport our yacht, round trip, from Victoria to La Paz, then back to Victoria in June. Shortly before the return trip from La Paz north was supposed to occur, Kevin told us that his transport vessel had lost an anchor, so his underwriters told him he could only operate within a safe berth, thus excluding La Paz. Kevin told us to run the vessel ourselves to Ensenada, and since we had prepaid for his services, he would reimburse us our costs for the La Paz to Ensenada leg of the voyage.
We promptly sent him a recap of our expenses last June, and he has agreed in writing several times that the expenses have been approved by Yach Path. His emails always promise payment soon, or next week, but no payments of any kind have been paid. Yacht Path owes us approximately $22,000.
