Last year, I bought what I thought was a lifetime subscription to Book Download Center. The site claims that you can go to the Members' Area, access ebooks, magazines and comics. You can also download whichever of these you may want, to your portable device, i.E., Ipad, Nook, or other ereader or tablet.
Prior to buying from the site, I asked if their services were compatible with my Android tablet, and was told they were. Although I have continuously tried to access and find a way to download the free magazines I would like to have on my tablet, I have been unable to do so. Each time I access the Members' Area, find the magazines I want, I discover I will have to pay for a subscription to those magazines.
I have sent numerous emails to them, and done the same with messages from their site customer support page. Although the site has responded to my requests, the solutions they have continuously offered have not worked. To date, I have not been able to download any desired magazines.
In addition, each time I send them a message from their site (I must be a member... Otherwise how would I be able to access the Support page?), they have sent me an email, with the title of "Technical Support Request - Non-Member". When I responded to their email, giving them complete proof of my membership, the rep has continuously claimed the information has not been enough to locate my account data.
I have gone onto the Book Download Site, and twice accessed their Live Chat line. When I gave the identical proof information to the rep each time, they had no problem locating my account.
Given all the above, via they site once again, I have sent a final message, telling them that I find I have no choice but to report them to the servicing BBB. I haven't done this, because Book Download Center gives no physical address. That's why I'm using this site.
