I purchased A.V.I.'s "Work at Home Program" on February 22. I feel I was misled into believing that I would be working directly for the company inputting data into simple legal forms, which data and forms would be supplied by A.V.I.
The truth of the matter is that a person is required to be an independent judgment recovery agent and must visit a courthouse or search the Web for people who have been awarded a small claims judgment by the court and have never received the money owed to them.
The website never says that a person is responsible for securing client assignments—that he/she must source their own work.
I consider this program deceptive and a definite scam because the website leads you to believe that you will be working directly for A.V.I.
I contacted the United States Postal Inspection Service as well as the United States Consumer Protection Program. Neither was able to assist me in recovering my money because unfortunately A.V.I. As a business is protected because it cannot be proven that their intent was to mislead.
