When i started working for hirshbach the miles was good for the first three or four months then they cut my miles to nothing they give me just enough to make my truck payment then when i would talk to my driver manger about it they would tell me that there was no loads there an i would have to take what they gave me. I had put in for home time i was at the reciver unloading an was sposed to go home from there they sent me a load that was going to Illinois an i refused it an i turend it down the second time. An they told me that i had to take it an i told them that i did not have to take it that i was a lease oprater an that it was in my contract that i could pick an choose my loads an i had the right to turn them down. They told me that i could not do that an that i had to take the load any way. We got into an argument over the contract, and I told them that I was going home. My driver manager said that I would take the load or else. I drove the truck home and told them that I would bring it back to the yard. They told me I had exactly 5 hrs to have the truck on there yard. I lived in Ft. Worth, Tx at the time. There was no way I could have that truck in S. Soiux City, Ne. From there in 5 hrs. I told them that that and they said well it will be put on youir dac, so I told them to come and get it.
