In 2005 we found a dog breeder in Tennessee who advertised maltipoos. This breed was new at the time. Angela sent photos and emails but would not agree to have us visit because she said she was very sick with cancer. She kept postponing the date we would get our dog. Finally she said her husband would meet us in Asheville, NC so that we could get our dog. The dog we received was horribly ill. She was sick for weeks and finally diagnosed with Giardia. We nursed her back to health but it cost us a fortune. Luckily we had pet insurance. We paid a lot of money for this dog. The breeder is definitely a puppy mill. She does not communicate over the phone and will not let you visit the kennel. That is a WARNING sign! We love our dog but she has lots of anxiety and is on doggy prozac. I would NEVER buy a dog on the internet again. This woman, Angela Putnam, has complaints about her all over the internet. Just google her name. Apparently she moved from Tennessee to New Mexico and has swindled many people with her dog and horse breeding.
