FACTS: My dog was kept up to date on physical exams and shots at All Creatures Animal Hospital during her life. My dog had the anal glads removed in 2007. Dr. Karolyn Aikens said this had to be done because they could not express one glad. I later learned there were alternatives, however, Dr. Karolyn did not present other options. This animal hospital only recommends Revolutuion once a month. Every year my dogs needed to be treated by this clinic for hook worms. I would ask AC, "Why the Revolution did not work?" The answer is always fast talking to keep you confused. The response is "Revolution does not cover hook woms, however it is the best product for your pet." Never presented me with other alternatives. More money to All Creatures. I took my beautiful dog into All Creatures on April 8 in normal condition. She walked in on her leash. She had a chronic condition which was pancreatitis. She had been ill the last couple of days so I called All Creatures. It was determined that my dog needed to be treated and to bring her in. I was firmly presented a ready printed form of estimated charges for my dog's stay and treatment. All Creatures presented me a form I had to sign with an estimate of $1,145.49 - $1,813.19. A $900.00 upfront payment was requested. They had me. My emotions wanting to help my dog so I gave them my credit card. While this was being done, the man that works the front desk took my dog and I did not have a chance to tell her bye. The staff showed me no compassion. Not even a Thank You. Very cold and this is a place I was in all the time with my two dogs and other dogs over a 16 year period. I was shocked but focused on helping my beautiful dog. My dog was in this facility for two weeks. I would call everyday. All Creatures NEVER called me, much less gave me any time to talk. Always fast talking and had to hurry and get off the phone. They promised email updates and that never happened. I would stop by requesting to see my dog and the rude staff would not let me see her. They said I would upset her. I was devastated but had no other choice than to trust them... When we inquired with Dr. Michael Aikens who was in charge of my dog's treatment, at this point, being longer than one week as was originally determined, what costs are we looking at? Dr. Michael replied, "I do not get involved with administrative issues." On April 14, our dog was released by our request. I could not help but cry at the condition my beautiful dog was returned to me. Her nails were overgrown and her spirit was not there. I could tell she had been abused and neglected. Her legs and feet were swollen, she was stiff and could hardly walk. She had hard discharge from her eyes that were hardened and stuck to her fur down her face. The dark haired male that works the front desk presented me with a bill on top of the $900.00 that I had already paid which was $2,581.92.in addition, All Creatures sell you the ID food at the end of the treatment which was required to be fed as introducing the animal back to solid food. Does that make any sense??? What is wrong with giving the animal their own food that they are used to? I could not believe at the condition of my dog and secondly, I was in not prepared at the bill I was presented. My dog lasted about another month before she died in my arms at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. Before my dog died, I learned from the male that works behind the desk at AC that my dog bit Dr. Michael. I can only imagine how she was treated that caused her to do that. At one time she loved those doctors. At that animal hospital it is all about the money not about the patient. I also suggest you all that seek information about this Animal Hospital to do your research. Look at kudzu.com and City Search. My dog was on IV for 2 weeks. They call themselves an Animal Hospital. Do you know they do not have a 24 hour staff? Many nights my dog was left by herself with an IV port in her leg by herself and more than likely in the dark. I have sent letters to Anita Martin, Executive Director, The Office of Secretary of State, 237 Coliseum Drive, Macon, GA 31217 asking for them to investigate this hospital along with my facts. They need more complaints in order to investigate if you can believe. I am posting this because I do not want to see another animal hurt by AC. All Creatures Animal Hospital has a high cost of operation located in the heart of Dunwoody. They also have facilities in their own residence. How do I know? The doctors told me. If you love your pet... What you have read is the truth. I loved my dog and to this day, I still miss her. I have a hard time dealing with myself and my decision to had put her care in this money hungery business. Would you believe after all that was said and done, All Creatures Animal Hospital harrassed me with emails and mailings telling me to bring in my dog, who they knew was dead, stating she was overdue for her shots and check ups. They really are cold hearted and inconsiderate
