This scam has already been described on this forum in detail. I find that description completely accurate. I answered radio ad, got promised $2000 in food vouchers to buy anything I wanted in nearly any grocery store, except cigarettes and alcohol for 19.95, was told it was a shopping tracker study. I gave my credit card info (like an idiot). Then came very fast, very long high pressure sales, to which I said no to everything. They took my info, but so far they have charged nothing. I alerted the credit card company, and perhaps they will be able to stop further damage.
A friend told me that this is a food stamp laundering scam. (Illegal food stamps are resold at a discount.) Another source said it was just coupons for specific foods, not vouchers as promised to be used for anything at any store (except for cigarettes and alcohol). I actually only know the phone number that the voice on the phone gave me. I called it to ask if I could withdraw and got just a music tape. The number is 800 803 8819. I got the name of the place from this forum.
