I was interested in renting a condo at Jersey City. I was
specifically interested in two of them. Trump Towers and Crystal Point. I had
contacted 3-4 realtors based on the ads that they had posted in craigslist. I
spoke with all of them but i had set up an appointment with one of the realtor,
Mayra Solis who worked for Liberty Realty LLC. I had an appointment for 6.30 PM
on June 26 but the realtor never showed up. I drove all the way from
Connecticut to Jersey City to see these 2 condos but Mayra Solis stood me up. I
tried calling her 2-3 times but she never responded to any of my phone calls. I
finally sent her an email stating that what she had done was unpardonable. She
made me drive for 6 hours and stood me up!!!
She then responded with an email defending her behavior. She
stated that she did this because i had contacted other realtors instead of just
working with her. She questioned my attitude and i was mentally Harassed by her
behavior. I have attached the entire email exchange with her and you can clearly
see how she was defending her behavior. I cant fathom as to what is wrong in
talking to 3 different realtors. After all it is my hard earned money. I wanted
to work with the realtor who was willing to consider no broker fees and get the
best deal. Is there some thing wrong in trying to get the best deal? I dont
find anything wrong in what i did.
Why did she stood me up? I was talking to some of my
friends in the Jersey city area and they told me that they have been a victim
of racial discrimination. Looks like it is quite prevalent in Jersey City area.
I am not saying what this lady did was racially motivated but it could have
been. I have heard allegations about Trump towers that they dont want any
Asians living there!!!
I want to ensure that nobody goes through this kind of
harassment and ordeal that i went through today.
Please do take some action against this lady and this
company!!!

Over 20 agents told me u were playing w them. That's not
ethical! Be considerate we have to make a living too.
Treat people as u will like to be treated. If your boss
asked u to take a pay cut or work for free would u? I doubt it.
Don't waste realtors time, we all know each other and talk.
