Bulk candy dispensing / vending machines
American Location Specialist (ALS) owned by Stephen Mazziota and Krystal Whittenburg is a bulk candy machine locator service that preys on un-suspecting new business owners.
They are recommended by National Vending Consultants to customers that purchase Nationals machines.in my case I was researching the possibility of purchasing bulk machines and contacted ALS to find out some background info.in the conversation they got my name and phone number. They immediately used high pressure tactics and my own enthusiasm to convince me that they were an honest eager company that couldn't wait to get my machines placed. I immediately bought into it, hook, line, and sinker.
They charge $50.00 per location and they insist on having you wire the money to an account in the South County Bank in Santa Margarita, CA, under the name of Stephen Mazziota. I was foolish and nave and wired all 1500.00 to the account.
What followed the completed wire transfer were repeated phone calls by me over the course of 2 months and more which would be met with no answers (ID caller is a wonderful tool), when I did get thru by use of other phones and masking, I was told that they would relay my message. I rarely if ever received any calls back from ALS.
This company continues to keep (steal) my money, and any effort to recoup my money, I am told by the FTC, would be more costly than the money that I would receive. I would like to get this word out to any and all prospective new business owners to beware of any companies associated with vending machines. Un-scrupulous conmen can easily change their companies names and hide their identities behind other employees. Stephen Mazziota has done business under the following fictitious business names: Pacific Marketing Solutions, Location concepts International, International Location Consultants, Location Network, and International Locator. Always insist on a certified copy of their business license and information on the owners Identification.
Other persons involved with ALS include: Krystal Whittenburg, registered co-owner of the fictitious business name (American Location Specialist) with the Orange Cty, CA clerk recorder, Tony Lange, Marketing Director, Ron Alfonso, Locating Manager, Bob Dillion, Mike O'Donnell and Bob Dillion were locators identified to help locate.
The address is 27702 Crown Valley PKY, Ste D-4 #116, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694. Possibly fake. A check thru mapquest.com revealed a pizza parlor at this address and a call to them also revealed that ALS was not there or nearby.
