We are an international company started operations in USA. We are medium size and certainly not a financially weak business and have more than 350 employees working in 5 different countries.
Instead of having in house call centre, we decided to try outsourced service and as a result of our web inquiry, Telehammers approached us for doing our appointment setting on pay per lead basis which was too good to be true. Matt Davis quoted us $100 per appointment and within seconds he dropped it to $75 per appointment and asked us to purchase 25 appointments. Because we did not have all the back end ready yet we only wanted to see how the appointments come so we can prepare our strategies accordingly so we only agreed to start the campaign with 10 appointments which was apparently the lowest they could do. Matt Davis was following up with us almost everyday and was keen for us to make payments without even signing the contract. Because of our organizational structure, we have policies in place and we have to conduct business as per our policies, I insisted on signing agreements before we can make any payments.
Matt Davis immediately signed agreements and forwarded to us. We sent a check of $750 which is no big deal for our size corporation.By the time the check was cleared Matt Davis was in continuous touch with me and discussing campaigns etc. His way of communication is very unprofessional and rude. He then disappeared and was ignoring my calls and e mails and we had no updates on campaign. I sent him an e mail stating that if i don't hear from him within the 24 hours, we will report you and your company to state and federal authorities and we require our money back. He then contacted us saying that the campaign has been running and he will give me update. He also mentioned that he has had some serious health issues and he has been in and out of hospital. He will introduce me to the CAMPAIGN MANAGER Mike who will handle our campaign which never handled. He again disappeared with no trace of him.
I am least concerned about the money lost as our organization spend that on daily incentives in our call centre however what I am disappointed about it the wastage of time and efforts from our end.
What Matt Davis did not realize is that we are a multi-national company and have dedicated legal teams working for us. And as per our company policy, it is mandatory for us to pursue legal action against such frauds.infact he never knew that one of the principals of this organization is actually a lawyer and a judge who is now determined to take Matt Davis to the court for fraud and gaining financial advantage by deception.
We have started legal proceedings which includes civil proceedings against the company and criminal proceedings against Matt Davis. The complaints have been filed with multiple authorities and I can guarantee some shocking surprises for Mr. Davis in the coming weeks.
Our organization is prepared to spend funds to any extent to ensure that this time Mr. Davis does not get away from this.
Our legal team will go to any extent to prosecute him for fraud.
Matt Davis, if you are reading it, all I can say that $ 750 was nothing and if you would have worked professionally, you could have made $750,000 by aligning your business with ours. You have just ruined once in a life time opportunity for your business and rest assured, the fraud you conducted with us will cost you lot more and we are determined to try you for your frauds.
