I answered a Craigslist ad in June for Ambient Planet. I was contacted by Josh Rifkin (who is no longer with the company), to work on a promotion for Quiznos. Later that week I went for the forst day of the promotion, I was supposed to have a 2nd person working with me, but that person never showed up. I was informed that I would be paid extra because I would be working alone. I worked for four days in the heat of the Texas summer, incurring costs for gas, with the assumption that I would be compensated quickly.
I filed all of my reports, and was informed that my payment would be received in 30 to 60 days. After 3 months with no payment I called Ambient planet and they acted as though they were going to send the money immediately, but alas i received nothing. I have since called weekly, and rarely get an actual person on the phone. When I do they always tell me that they are waiting on payment from London. I was told that almost three months ago.
After seeing all of the people who are on here, I dont think I will ever see my money, and it probably isnto worth it to pursue legal action, but I will make it my mission to spread the word about how this company operates. I needed the money but not as much as some people who were depending on the money that they are owed by Ambient Planet. They should be ashamed of what they are doing.
