I recently had Father and Son Moving move my home. This was my first experience using a moving company. Needless to say that this company is one huge ripoff.
On the positive side they moved fast, but that came at a cost to a few pieces of my property being broken.
From the moment they arrived at my home, the entire move felt rushed. They brought along a third man that the team lead informed me would be of no charge.
Throughout the move I was consistently bothered by the team lead to call their office and tell their office what a great job they were doing (which I did just to shut them up so they could focus on moving my apartment.)
Fast forward to the end of the process, they end up charging me for the third man, and for a list of other charges that weren't even mentioned before which doubled the cost of what I had originally expected. This company is not up front with their pricing and does not care about safely moving anyone. When I move, I want moving specialists, not used car salesmen.
Where did I fail as a consumer? I didn't research them thoroughly enough, and I signed the papers. Don't make my mistake.
