My son's family moved into a rental property several months ago and found they had bed bugs. They are struggling financially with only his wife able to find a job. He can't find a job and is now at home keeping a 5 year old and a 18 month.
They were unable to afford a pest control company so his grandmother offered to pay for the treatment. She suggested they use a well known national company. They called Terminex.
Terminex came out and sprayed 2 rooms and charged $800.00. They called them a few weeks later to come back out because they were still seeing the bed bugs and they came back out again.
Several weeks later they were still seeing a few bed bugs so they called several times for them to come back out. Each time they were told someone would call them back, no one did. His wife finally talked to Lee Ann at the 800 # they were given and explained the problem and assured her she would get a call the next day.
The next day, after Lee Ann spoke with the local mgr. She called back and said they would not be coming back out because they had missed their 90 day deadline by 5 days.
They cannot afford to have another company come and start over and they cannot afford to move. They have children who are being bitten by these bed bugs and they brought them to Texas last time they were here. We have had to have our house treated, thrown all of mattresses, frames, and headboard away due to this problem.
The company we used charged 1/3 of the cost and are diligent about getting rid of these pests. They are also capable of helping some customers who don't have the money to afford a treatment like this by offering free treatments.
If this company were in Oklahoma they would be able to help. All we want Terminex to do is to get rid of these bed bugs. I spoke to the Terminex office as well and they were unwilling to offer any help at all.
