I paid $1380 for a placement service for 26 vending machines. The locator was supposed to call me in advance to obtain my parameters, i.E. Physical boundries, types of businesses, etc. After he had located 26 businesses, he was to pick me up and introduce me to the owners and set a date for delivery of the machines. This should take less than half a day. The $1380 included a guarantee of income per machine or locator would find a new location. An additional $400 was paid for an extension program to locate new machines, as I purchase them, for half price.
The locator did call me in advance for the info. The day he picked me up he was not professionally dressed, his SUV was trashy and we spent 7.5 hours cold calling, me sitting in a hot SUV (110 degrees outside), until he got a prospect. He would come and get me and introduce me to the owner, and then we would move on. We got 14 placements the 1st day.By the middle of the 2nd day I was so tired of listening to his driver's life history and sitting in the heat, that I was accepting anything just to get it over with. Three of those businesses have already changed their mind and more than half don't have a chance to meet the guarantee.
I was willing to pay $1300 to not have to cold call. The guarantee is worthless on 2 points; (1) I don't want to go through that experience again for replacement, (2) I can't get in touch with Ms. DeMerris. Her phone is disconnected and she doesn't return my emails. The additional $400 extension program is also worthless for the same reasons.
