I was first working with Jeff Young from Client Services in regards to a Home Depot credit card, I had always kept up on my payments until my Husband went out of work for 4 months after back surgery.
So my payment plan was for $139.00 a month, but they never changed my due date on the card so $35.00 was going to late fees. We are still struggling as my Husband is our main source of income.
When I called Jeff to let him know that we could not pay this month (automatic debit) which I told him far enough in advance, that we did not even have money for groceries that week I was told "that's not my problem"! He then more or less called me a thief because I was not making the payment, and that I ought to sell what ever I bought from Home Depot and return it or sell it, and at lease they could get some of their money back. I could not believe the way he was talking to me, when I asked for a Supervisor, it was like a tag team, another man came on the phone and also started degrading me, I told them to stop the automatic payments and that I would deal with home depot personally, not these rude, obnoxious, S*HEADS.
Nobody should be spoken to like that, our economy is so bad right now that people have to take what they can get just to survive, so if it comes down to food on our table for the week or paying Client Services, Hellllllooooooo!
I am amazed to see how many people are going through the same thing, I am truly sorry for you.
