I was hired by Bright Start Childcare and Learning Center to repaint the entire center. Because Mr and Mrs Ginley were just starting a business (something I can relate to) I gave the an excellent deal on the work. Not only that, but I allowed payments and no deposit in the effort to help them out. Throughout the job they kept avoid signing the contract I left them. So halfway through the job, I inquired about it and they said they wanted more time to make the first payment (from 30 days to 45). So I re-wrote the contract to suit them and they still refused to sign it. So I told them I could no longer continue to perform work until the contract was signed. After a few days, we discussed the issues and against my better judgement, I agreed to finish the work with no contract. After the verbal agreement, Michelle then sent me rude and disrespectful messages about how I am costing them money and delaying there opening. She then refused to give me the new code to get in the building (because they changed the old one on me) so I no choice to withdraw my services. I have already spent $750 on materials and $1000 on labor not including my own hours. The job is 80% complete and Bright Start Daycare and Learning center told me that I am not getting a penny from them. Shame on Bright Start Daycare and Learning Center for scamming contractors.
