I was contacted by Ben Hindman of Thrillist.com about their need for photography services at an event they were hosting on feb 11th at a local bar in Chicago called Double Door.
The agreement was the I was to receive a payment of $250 at the night of the event, and then it was my responsibility to take pictures, edit them and submit them by the next morning early AM.
When i arrived at the event I was told by Ben that he would send me a check in the mail the next morning. I told him that was okay and I continued to take pictures. I successfully took the pictures, edited them and submitted them by 6am the next morning. I was given feedback by another team member of Thrillist.com about how satisfied she was with the turnaround time.
Its been over 5 weeks and I've been trying to call and email Ben to get my money and I keep getting an email response saying 'Its in the mail'.
Thrillist is tying to get away with my $250
