SMS, CPP, Certified Payment Processing, Summit Merchant Solutions, Transtech Merchant Group This is not a real job, lies about employment

Being unemployed and not having much success in finding a job, when TMG contacted me about a job, I was excited.

They did not do any kind of interview, just asked a few basic questions, and then sent me the paperwork. I spend all day on the phone and internet going over training materials, but spent most of the time listening to the trainer say jokes and talk about gift cards.

My first day, my first appointment, I get to the business, and my contact was not there, but his partner was. I called my team lead, and after several minutes on hold, I finally handed my cellphone over to the man. I was politely told they were not interested and left. I went to every business in the area, none of them wanted anything to do with my company, and many had been bombarded with calls from over 15 different processing companies, so another salesman was the last thing they wanted.

My second appointment, the lady who "confirmed" the appointment was not the business manager. The third appointment was the only one that day where the people were even interested in credit processing, and it was more of a fluke, because they had no idea that I was supposed to be there.

Day 2,

3 appointments, not one of the people who "confirmed" my appointments wanted anything to do with me or my sales pitch. I waited on hold for over 10 minutes at one, far past my welcome in the person's store. My last one was a body shop, which the owner never talked to TMG, and in fact hated having a credit card machine in his shop to begin with, and was riding out his contract. The best thing I got out of it was the owner pulled a dent out of my car for me.

I would say this company is incredibly unprofessional. They sent me to another city 25 miles away, to an "appointment" that was never set up, and matter a fact they called the merchant the wrong name several times in the call.

If you want to work for this company, beware, you will be walking into stores in which have no idea what you are doing there and are irritated that you are standing there in there business trying to sell them credit processing in the first place. When you call your team lead, prepare to feel like a fool standing there on hold while the merchant looks at you like "well". The team lead will try to strong arm the merchant into a presentation, where you willl present them with over-priced equipment that is virtually identical to all of the other equipment out there. The huge commissions they show are if the person takes the deal as is, which is unlikely to happen, because you will end up waiving the application fee, and you lose 30 dollars per dollar they talk to down on a lease. Don't forget that the people you are selling to could very well be your friends and neighbors, you will have to face them again.
