I am outraged! My dog was at Dr Cramer's office in Temecula at South Temecula Veterinary Hospital because she was in labor and needed a c-section. They took her in and performed what I thought was an easy procedure. I paid them in full. After a day or so, I noticed she was not doing well and called the Doctor and he asked me to watch her for another day. I did and she was just not right. I wanted him to look at her so I brought her down and he wasn't there. I thought a puppy was left in her as that was her symptoms.
To my expense, they did another x-ray and no puppy but there was something not right. I was told to watch her again. I did for a day and I was really worried about her. So the next day, I met him at the office and he examined her.
He said he couldn't figure it out so he told me the only solution was to go in again and see what is going on. He thought maybe her uterous was doubling back onto itself and if that was the case, she would have to be spayed. I had no choice but to see. So they went in again, now this was only 3 days after she had her puppies.
After the surgery, he came to me and said her uterous was twisted in the horn and it was like a twisted washcloth. I did my research and found this is because it was not placed back into the horn correctly. The animal has to be opened up enough as to lay the uterous back in flat so it doesn't wrinkle or twist.
To top it off, he charged me an additional $1200 to do the second surgery when it was caused by him.
But the clincher is, my dog has not really been right since and she just had her next heat cycle. She was not right. I noticed my other dogs were licking her and I decided to check her out. She had a discharge and I knew this may not be good!
The discharge turned yellow finally decided to take her to a vet this morning. They said it could be pyrametra. She must be spayed!
This was just the tip of the iceberg! I spoke to the vet, she said her uterous had puss in it and we did the right thing by spaying her. BUT, she also said she saw some things she had never seen before.
She said there were adhesions and lesions on her intestines caused from previous surgery and the biggest thing was her intestines were attached to her uterous. I couldn't believe it! I asked if this had to be from the last surgery. She said, "Yes"! So the conclusion is that in order to correct the mistake they made, it appeared they sewed her uterous to her intestines to keep it laying down. Outrageous!!!
Now, my dog had to be spayed and may have problems with her intestines due to this doctor that claims he knows what he is doing.
DO NOT take your animal to his clinic if you LOVE your pet. You may end up with a problem or even yet, no pet at all.
How dare he charge he for his mistake!!! And how dare he not tell me what he was doing!!! How dare he put my dogs life in danger!!!
Dr Cramer, I hope you can sleep at night knowing you are lying and not being honest. I will vow to tell everyone I know that you are not a vet to be trusted with an animal if you care about them.
