I'm sure you have seen the late night television ads for the Don Lapre making money system. The ads are great - awesome in fact. Their enthusiasm is difficult to resist. I know how hard it is as I saw the same infomercial every night. The same cheerful young man almost literally jumping up and down with energy to show people how he make zillions of dollars. This is how they got me. Here's how it started; I got so excited when I saw Don Lapre's infomercial, I said to myself this is it... Start of my new beginning of success, but I was wrong. UBS, the company that sold the products to me is focused on one thing: selling one product after the next. Like most who initially purchase his Money Making Package through a slick infomercial for $59.95, I was seduced by a sales process that had been refined over years by a smart scam artist. I never knew that until I started my research about the company who has my money. I bought the product just to see if it will work for me, I figured that eventually I'd just return the package, since they have this " 30-day Money-Back GUARANTEE! No Question Asked!"

I purchased their product as what they called it as " CASH FLOW GUARANTEED SYSTEM " on November 24 for $59.95 S&H; I received the package November 26; after my careful review of the product, considering which of which & the answers to all my WHAT IF? Questions; I started to do the first step which is setting up the website, just to see if it will work since I have plenty of time to have it more reviewed (within 30-day period). I called their 800# on December 5 to get started; I spoke with one of their sales people named RICK, he is very detailed explaining how is the program will work for me. He is asking for $2000.00 to get my 'new' website up & running.

Right there, I told him how expensive it was, he became so pushy and a lot of you will have a success on this kind of words, he mentioned that this is all I needed and I will have my own business the very next day. At first I was very skeptical but because I am so desperate & excited to have my business of my own I said OK, will try it for the next few weeks.

And because I said I wanted to "TRY" it first I will only pay quarter of $2000.00, he did not think twice and said that it will be fine, they will keep my credit card number on file then they will just deduct the money on a monthly basis. I think he agreed with me because of the fact that he can hear me that I am ready to return the product. From that day, they deducted $500.00 out of my credit card using "Liberty" Merchant system. He said that I am ready to get started to the next level, my 900-line, he gave me my confirmation that I own part of MAKINGMONEY.com & AMAZON.com, believe me I am so excited and no clue at all that it is all a SCAM! So he transferred me to anothe sales associate, but this time after explaining how the 900-line program works, he is asking $5000.00 right then and there, I told him I just paid $500.00 and now... Then cut me of what I am saying and said that they can absolutely charge my credit card again.

This time, it didn't work! I told them that I will call them back IF I am still interested with their 900-line but for now 2 websites satisfies me already just to make money at least. He just jump out of himself and reacts like a person that can't get a SALE. I hang up the phone and he tried to call me back but I never answer the phone. That's when I decided that the program is not for me at all. I just can't afford that much money, I needed the business program to make money NOT to spend money! Expecting for UBS, Inc. To honor their 30-day Money-Back Guarantee, I sent all the materials back to UBS, Inc. On December 19. After the holiday, December 26, I called UBS, Inc. And confirmed if they received my returned package; it was confirmed that they received it by one of their customer representative.

At this time, I was told that a complete refund will be issued at once. I waited, respecting that it will take 30-60 days to process my refund due to holiday. But I never heard from them.

I checked with my credit card if I have a credit after a month and a half of waiting. Then, I decided to call them, due to I am very upset and thinking that they might not refund my money, I recorded all conversation I had whenever I call them. The first call I made (01/27/03), they said that there is no information available in their system about my refund, I was told to call back in 2 weeks. After 2-weeks (02/10/03), they said that my refund money is already in a queue, they are running 30-45 days behind because of their "New Merchant System". So I waited again, but because I really can't wait due to I have bills to pay, I called back again after 2-weeks (02/27/03), no available information due to their system is down... I got tired contacting them, my last attemt was nothing, phone is disconnected. After 60-days, phone is working but it directs caller to a full message voicemail. I never have a way to contact them and so I wrote them and sent a letter CERTIFIED... No reponse from this company. And today (09/20/03,9-months from the date my refund was placed... No response, no refund.

This kind of people shouldn't let to get away from all this scam they created. WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION! If you have any information on who I need to contact, where & how to file a claim, how to get my money bak, please let me know. Please H E L P! This company/person should pay us more than we suffered from them!
