Haldane ripoff:
I was brought into the scam for the "spouse" meeting in August. I listened politely to a very professional sales pitch. Lots of smoke and mirrors and marking pens. The VP of Flim-flam hammered us for more than 2 hours before finally presenting the one-paragraph "contract" - $10,500 "retainer fee" up-front and $8,000 due within one year of accepting the $175,000 position that was waiting in the "hidden job bank."
Of course if the new employer agreed to pay the fee as a "signing bonus" (which they would teach the negotiating skills to accomplish in the job-interview process) Haldane would reimburse the fees in full. Right!
We escaped, but agreed to make a decision by the following day, or risk losing the rare invitation to join the exclusive program. We went home and found usacomplaints.com thanks to a close friend. Thank God!
We came sooooo close to flushing $10,5 down the toilet, it makes my skin curl to hear the name "Haldane." It was a totally awful experience. My sympathy goes to those of you who were victimized.
