On 1-7-10, I bought a two month old male Chihuahua from PetWorld in the Northridge Mall. The pup was very tiny and quiet, which I figured was normal for such a small pup. The staff members at the mall told me to have the pup checked by thier vet within the next 4 days for a standard free exam. When I brought the puppy home, i noticed that he was making a hacking, coughing noise. I called thier vet the next morning and was told to bring the pup in the next morning (1-9-10). When I went to their vet, the pup was diagnosed with Kennel Cough and given antibiotics. The vet said that the pup was highly contagious and could not be around other dogs. We called the store to let them know, for the safety of the other pups, and the same guy who sold us the pup answered. He didn't even care! He only said well the other dogs arent sick, and the pup was fine when he was here! Someone needs to investigate this place. We are planning on notifying animal regulation when the weekday approaches.
