Left Usa Truck after 6 month, in more debt now than when started

In mid-March i was promised a job at Usa Truck through Driver Solutions upon completion of the C-1 truck training school. Before even attending the driving school Usa sent documentation saying that i would be making between $25,000 and $30,000 for the first year. That would mean i would make roughly 2000 a month before taxes and deductions.

My per month average while working was less than 1500 before taxes and deductions.

I had so many problems with my truck it would take too long to list them all. Too many times I HAD to drive the truck knowing there were DOT violations if i needed anything corrected it would cause a horrible impact on my potential earnings for that week. A simple tire change took an average of 7 hours JUST for the authorization from the service department. Usa does not pay for down time even if it is clearly their fault.

One of the now largest financial burdens on me came when i had to go to California from South Carolina. I was told if i needed to take any down time for any reason that i would have to have the load switched to someone else. I couldn't afford at the time to pass up the money. At the time i needed two tires replaced and informed dispatch and they told me that i had to wait till after the delivery before i could get them changed. (This was also before some other drivers informed me that if there was a problem with a truck i had the right to require a repair, which no school or training taught me.)

In California I got stopped at a weigh station and was given a ticket to have the two tires replaced. I got them replaced and submitted the ticket to Usa. I was told they would take care of it. Now i no longer work for the company and just got a notice from Cali that i owed over $500 for the original $15 ticket. On top of that i owe $5000 to a truck training school that hardly taught us anything. I had to spend over $400 out of pocket just to attend the school too. I learned more from my room mate and self study than the teachers taught. I am unemployed and can not afford the $500 ticket. I'm unsure if i get another trucking job and do have to make a delivery to California if there is a warrant for my arrest or anything. Now I am having to seriously consider bankruptcy due to the truck driving school harassing my family and friends. It has also impacted my work history when i try to apply for any new jobs. I had to quit because my family was about to be evicted due to the low pay so we moved out, but Usa refused to give me the time off.

Long story short. You wont make what they say you will, you will owe more than you started and even if you do break even, you could have made just as much working half as much at Burger King.
